摘要
概述了经典的和现代的图像压缩编码方法，分析了其基本思想和性能，介绍了图像编码的国际标准。并指出图像压缩编码正处于蓬勃发展之中。
With classic and modern methods of image compression coding reviewed. Their basic idea and performance have been analysized. Meanwhile the international standards of image coding are intruduced, and the fact that image coding is in flourishing development is pointed out.
