Racial Problems About Building a Harmonious Society in China Western Area

我国西部是少数民族最集中的地区,各民族关系的发展历来是国家兴衰的晴雨表。近年来,随着我国的西部大开发与和平崛起,各民族的关系日趋多样化,因此我们要从战略的高度处理这一关系,尤其是要加大跨民族地区的经济和社会的全面发展,使我国各族人民共同走向小康社会、实现和谐发展。

The western area of China is one of main areas where racial groups live. The relationship, either good or bad, between those racial groups affects the stability and harmony of Chinese society as a whole. With the development of the western regions and peaceful rise in China, the relationship between those racial groups is tending to more complicated. Therefore, we must deal with this relationship on a strategic level, especially, to enhance the development of the economy and society of cross-region racial groups, thus contributing to the well-off society of racial society in China.
