The Glass Menagerie is an emotional and poetic plastic play that reproduces human living conditions in modem time. By using multi - dimensional expressive techniques, the playwright presents audience the theme of the play ： the realistic aftertaste of dreams and the overstepping of tragic existence, which shows its enduring poetic fascination and reveals its significance in understanding life and society through analyzing the techniques and theme of the play.
