Characteristics of Undergraduate Talent Cultivation Model in the Research University

研究型大学不仅要具备高水平的科研,还必须具有高水准的人才培养。只有在人才培养模式中充分体现出精英性、研究性、创新性、实践性和开放性特征,才能够凸现出研究型大学在人才培养上的独特优势,实现其培养高水平人才的本真价值。

The research university should possess not only high-level research but also high-level talent cultivation. This paper proposes a model of talent cultivation that emphasises meritocracy, research, innovation, practicability and openness. It is argued that this model helps to exert the unique advantage of the research university and achieve the mission of training and developing top talents.
