TORCH is an abbreviation of several pathogenic organisms which can infect the pregnant woman and lead to congenital abnormalities. The damage usually becomes more severe if the infection occurs in the earlier stage of the pregnancy, so that an accurate prenatal screening on these pathogens is crucial to prevent bad pregnant outcomes. The present paper reviews the latest researches on pathogens and detective techniques of TORCH.
