摘要
提出一种基于ATR技术的的新型光开关器件。该光开关是利用聚合物薄膜的电光效应,通过控制导模的耦合效率,进一步控制反射光强来实现光的通断。理论与实验表明:该器件具有响应速度快、消光比大、损耗小、稳定性高、制备工艺简单和成本低廉等特点。
A novel electro-optic polymer optical switch based on attenuated-total-reflection (ATR)technology is proposed, The mechanism of optical switch is investigated to electrically controlled the coupling efficiency of a incident light into a guided mode using electro-optic effect of polymer. This letter explains the principle of optical switch operation and presents experimental results obtained on a realization of the device.
