首先探讨了伊特鲁里亚和希腊人对其各自陶瓶形状的利用,以及二者艺术主题的选择问题,随后探讨了伊特鲁里亚艺术的风格。伊特鲁里亚人不但挑选了希腊艺术中那些取悦他们的元素,并且在很大程度上将其变成自己的东西。伊特鲁里亚艺术的某些特征在整个伊特鲁里亚艺术史中是不变的。希腊在描绘人像方面的技术进步嫁接在了伊特鲁里亚对图案和抽象的爱好之上,与此同时,伊特鲁里亚艺术的艺术效果多半比希腊艺术显得更加个性化。
This study focuses on the Etruscan and Greek use of their respectively pottery shapes and the issue of choice of subject in both cultures. Then style of Etruscan art is considered. The Etruscans not only pick and choose those elements Greek art that please them, but they also make those elements very much their own. Certain characteristics of Etruscan art are proposed as constants throughout the history of Etruscan art. The Greek technical advanced in the depiction of the human figure are wedded to the Etruscan delight in design and the abstract. At the same time, Etruscan art, for the most part, remains more personal than Greek art.
