On the Development of Language of Vision and Its Challenge to Word Language

视觉语言有别于文字语言,科学技术的进步给它的蓬勃发展带来了契机,使其对以文字语言为主导的语言形态构成了冲击。视觉语言对文字语言的挑战有其合理性与必然性,但视觉语言并非完美无缺,它与文字语言是互补的。

Different from word language, language of vision booms as a result of technological progress, and has become a challenge to the word-language-dominated linguistic form. While the challenge proves reasonable and inevitable, language of vision itself is far from a perfect form of language; it is a necessary complement to word language.
