英语的标记性与大学英语泛读教学

摘要 根据标记理论,语言学家把语言的各种单位都做出有标记项和无标记项的区分。标记性语言不同于无标记性语言,除了本意之外,它还附带有许多言外之意。本文从词汇、句法、衔接、修辞四个方面来讨论英语的标记性以及其在大学泛读教学中的运用,以此帮助学生更好地理解文章作者的真正意图。 Marked theory has been applied to all the levels of language to explain the marked phenomena by differentiating various kinds of language units by marked terms and unmarked terms. Its wide use also throws light on English extensive reading teaching. Based on the review of the marked theory, this article extends the theory to its application in extensive reading teaching in college in terms of morphology, syntax, coherence and rhetoric.
