摘要
本文以2006年奥斯卡获奖影片《断背山》为例句素材,通过对译文中出现的"英语式的汉语"、"罗嗦"、"文化干扰"以及原语影片对白中出现的修辞、语误、行话或专用语的分析,强调字幕翻译应在简明易读的基础上对原语的各种功能进行兼顾、取舍或保留。
This paper attempts to discuss the translation of foreign film by taking the dialogues of Oscar-winner film Brokeback Mountain as sample sentences. It discusses＂English Chinese＂, ＂prolixity＂ and ＂culture harriet＂appeared in translated version as well as, figure of speech, slip of the tongue and jargon of the original dialogues. It argues that subtitle translation should be laconic, readable and the translated version should remain all the functions of the original language, otherwise the referential function should be remained in case resection is unavoidable.
