This article is about the exploration and practice of Shanghai Oriental Community lnfoSpaces Project （SOCIP）, which has been honored with 2nd Ministry of Culture＇s Award of Creativity. As a successful case of the promotion for the integrated development of urban library services and regional, cultural, information services （community digital library.） in Shanghai, China＇s international metropolis, its experiences can be expected to benefit the development of other area＇s library and information services.
