Breeding and Utilization of Fine Quality Restorer Line R1202 in Rice

R1202是南宁市沃德农作物研究所用测1018作母本,与测64-7杂交选育而成的含有野生稻亲缘的水稻新恢复系,具有配合力好、恢复力强、米质优等特点。所配组合高产稳产、米质较优,其中T优1202、金优1202、特优1202、准两优1202已先后于2005—2007年通过广西壮族自治区农作物品种审定委员会审定。

R1202, derived from the cross between Ce 1018 （a derivative from IR56/Tiandong wild rice//IR56/ IR661 ） and Ce 64 -7 （a widely used strong restorer line）, is a new rice restorer line with wild rice genetic background developed by the Nanning Wode Crop Research Institute. It is characteristic of good combining ability, strong restoring ability and good grain quality. A series of F1 hybrids derived from R1202 including T You 1202, Jinyou 1202, Teyou 1202 and Zhunliangyou 1202 were certified for release to commercial production by Guangxi Provincial Crop Variety Appraisal Committee during 2005-2007.
