卡普的技术哲学思想以当时的德国哲学思想为理论基础,以技术革命为现实背景,主要体现为"器官投影"说。该理论认为人类往往会依照人体结构和功能来制造工具,因此可以从器官投影的角度来研究各种技术及其发展。"器官投影"说强调从技术内部进行分析,来深刻认识技术的本性,开启了技术哲学研究的工程学传统。同时"器官投影说"强调技术对人的模仿,认为人是技术创造的尺度,这就强调了技术哲学的人类学研究方向。

The philosophy of technology thoughts of Kapp is mostly the ＂Organ-Projection Theory＂, which is based on the Germany philosophy thoughts and considers the technology revolution as realistic background. The theory considers that human being always makes tools according to their structure and function,so we can study the technology and its development by the aspect of organ projection. The Organ-Projection Theory insists on analyzing technology from the interior to know its nature,so the theory starts the engineering tradition of technology philosophy. And the Organ-Projection Theory insists that technology simulate human beings,considering human beings as the standard of technology, which stresses the anthropology direction of philosophy of technology.
