Transition of the Paradigm of American Vocational Education and Its Enlightenment

摘要 上世纪初以来,美国职业教育一直在社会效率主义范式的框架下发展。世纪之交,美国职业教育开始转向实用主义范式,范式转换的背后是美国职业教育思维方式的转换。当前我国职业教育也正处于这两种范式的矛盾之中,美国的改革对我国职业教育走出矛盾、明确改革思路具有重要启示。 In the last century, American vocational education had been developing in the framework of social efficiency, which argues that vocational education is just the means to preparing young people for specific work. At the turn of the century, the paradigm of American vocational education had begun to change. Pragmatism was accepted again, which argues that vocational education should prepare young people for better social life. The change of the paradigm reflects the change of the thinking style of American vocational education. This is the core value. In our country, vocational education is just in the debate of the two paradigms, and we can get much enlightenment from American.
