From the aspects of project background, construction designing, technical strategies and clients＇ feedback, this paper presents the Informatics Collaboratory of the Social Sciences （ICOSS） building as a research and communication center of Sheffield University. It is to penetrate into the close ties between architectural planning, ecological environment and occupants through researching on the successful case.
