The Relation between Rb Gene Expression and Prognosis of Gastric Cancer

Rb基因是细胞生长分化的重要调控因子。我们应用S－P免疫组织化学方法研究Rb基因产物表达与胃癌临床病理学特声、和预后的关系。本组胃癌Rb基因产物阳性表达为62／85（72．94％），与淋巴结转移呈极显著性正相关（P＜0．01），与胃癌术后生存期呈极显著性负相关（P＜0．01）。Rb基因产物阳性级别高者，易发生淋巴结转移，生存期可能较短。检测Rb基因产物表达有助于胃癌生极学行为的认识及预后判断。

Rb gene is one of the important modulating factors in cell proliferation and differentiation. In this paper, the relation between the expression of Rb gene and the clinicopathologic features as well as the prognosis of gastric cancerwere studied sernlquantitatively by means of S-P immunohistochemistry. The results showed that the expression of Rb gene was present in 72. 94 % (62/85 ) of gastric cancer patients. The expression of Rb gene showed a significantly positive correlation with the involvement of the lymph node,but negative correlation with thesurvival of the gastric cancer patients (P＜0. 01 ). This study suggests that determlnation of Rb gene expression may be useful in studylng the biologic behav1or and inevaluating the prognosis of gastric cancer.
