Necessary Tension Remained between Diversity and Value-Mandating——On Jiang Zemin's view of Socialist Education & Administration

价值观是人们在社会生活实践中形成的价值信念、信仰、理想、标准和具体价值取向的综合体系。江泽民认为,建设中国特色社会主义核心价值体系,必须正确看待和处理社会价值导向与人们多样化的价值观之间的差异与矛盾,尊重差异,包容多样,对人们的多样化的价值观加以引导和调节,树立适应科技进步和社会发展的先进价值观。

Value view is of one＇s value conception,belief, ideal,standard as well as his concrete value option or com- prehensive value system. Jiang Zemin holds that the establishment of core value system with China＇ s socialist characteristics depends on concrete understanding of the differences and correct treatment of the contradictions between social value direction and people＇s diversity of values,respecting the former and containing the latter, but giving proper regulation or direction to the latter so as to set up a kind of advanced value of scientific progress and social development.
