The early 20th century witnessed the brilliant contribution of the female translators to the boom of the translated literature in China. Their active translation activities challenged the traditional moral code and helped them to join the life in the public sphere. They introduced into China the new literary forms and new ideas by means of their translation. It is due to their participation in the maleleading enlightenment and new literature movement that women's voice and experience were surfaced, which revealed another aspect of modernity experience in China.
