摘要
罗贯中的《三国演义》原著中,长度词有:里、丈、围、尺、寸、匹。罗慕士对《三国演义》中的"长度"词的翻译呈现出了多样化的特点,显出了在"归化"和"异化"之间的徘徊,由此带来了一些混乱。作者采取文献资料、对比等方法,分析了这些形式和错误,并提出改进的办法。认为直译是译作中传播源语文化的最有效的手段。
In the Chinese novel Three Kingdoms, there are many length-unit words： li, zhang, wei, chi, can, pi. In Moss Roberts＇ translation of this novel, the translations of those length-unit words vary, swaying confusingly between domestication and foreignization. This article, based on the comparison of authentic materials, analyses the translations and points out the mistakes. Ways to improve the translations are suggested.
