Corpora play a critical role in the study of the language use, translation, teaching and textbook compilation. Teachers may collect students＇ writings and build small-sized learner corpora in line with their needs and apply them in teaching research and translation. The present study introduces the varieties and purposes of this kind of corpora, the basic method to build up the small-sized corpora and their application.
