摘要
针对H.264/AVC中复杂的模式选择问题,通过分析一幅编码图像内最终选择的模式的分布规律,将所有编码模式分成若干子集,利用前一帧模式分布情况,对当前帧选择合适的子集进行编码。同时在场景变化较大时激活所有编码模式并提出检测场景变化的机制。实验结果表明:在信噪比和比特率保持相近的前提下,减少的总编码时间在48%~66%之间。
An approach is presented to speed up the mode decision process in a H. 264/AVC encoder. The distribution of the encoding modes adopted finally in a frame is analyzed, and all the encoding modes are divided into several subsets. Based on the mode distribution of the previous frame, in the current frame only the modes in a proper subset are selected for the encoding process. Meanwhile ,all the encoding modes are activated when scene change occurs,and a scheme for scene change detection is proposed. The simulation results show that compared with the original encoder,the proposed method achieves a reduction of 48% - 66% encoding time and keeps almost the same PSNR and bit rate.
