Taking the canals and xihe river in shenyang as the typical artifical canals, the pollution characteristics and rules are studied. The prevention countermeasures and benefis in the past years were discussed. According to the requirement of eco-city, the targets and countermeasures of construction artifical canals were viewed. It＇s also discussed the influence of discharged pollution factors on the canals and the finished treatment stages, analyzed the emphasis of water body construction and water quality improvement in the paper.
