Engineering practice is a vital link for improving the quality of education. This paper starts with the international and domestic background of forming the engineering training center and primarily focuses on ways of establishing the engineering training center as well as its significance in the self-development of various universities and comprehensive cultivation of students by means of practice training. On the basis of that, this paper points out the establishment is a matter of great urgency and a cardinal path to the innovation and development of universities.
