权力话语理论观照下的文学翻译活动

由法国哲学家米歇尔.福柯提出的权力话语理论为翻译研究提供了新的理论视角和研究方法。实际上,文学翻译不是纯粹的文本间的信息转换,而是一种由源语文化和目的语文化中各种权力话语操控的产物。权力话语对文学翻译活动的操控主要有政府机构、社会制度、团体组织等显性权力话语的操控和意识形态、伦理道德、文化传统与习俗、宗教信仰、美学思想、价值观念等隐性权力话语的操控。权力话语理论观照下的文学翻译研究有助于增强人们对文学翻译活动社会性本质的认识。

The theory of power and discourse, put forth by French philosopher Michel Foucault, has provided a fresh theoretical perspective and studying methods for translation studies. In fact, translation is not purely intextual information transference, but a complicated product manipulated by power and discourse. Literary translation activity is mainly manipulated by such explicit discourse power as government institutions ,the social system and association organizations, and also by such implicit discourse power as the ideology,ethics morals ,cultural tradition and customs ,the religious belief and aesthetics thought. Translation studies under the guidance of the theory of power and discourse will help people get better understanding of the social essence of the literary translation activity.
