This article endeavors to summarize the rule governing the development of modern distance education by analyzing its current situation,and discusses in detail the trend from the aspects of its quality,management,technology as well as learning methodology.It concludes that the modern distance education will turn on a systematized and legalized track from the blind exploration at the very beginning.
