摘要
介绍了笔者在笔译练习讲评中使用的"同学译本比较法"。本文的教学实验和数据分析表明,"同学译本比较法"有助于克服传统的以学生个体为对象、以语法内容为重点的印象式翻译讲评的缺陷,将翻译讲评变为学生横向比较、共同进步的过程,从而大大提高翻译教学尤其是讲评环节的效果。
This paper reports an experiment the authors conducted with their translation course for translation assessment. The method adopted for the assessment can be called "peer versions contrast" whereby about two dozens of the TL versions the course participants produced for each of the translation assignments are collected and then compared/contrasted for appraisal. The basis of the comparison/contrast is built on the "normative choices" the participants make in their versions for the expressions and structures underlined as points of difficulty and/or emphasis in the respective assignments. The experiment showed that the assessment of the peers' versions in a comparative/contrastive manner greatly empowers the participants' linguistic and cultural repertoire, thus enhancing their competence in translation.
