Key Issues and Challenges in Wind Power Development

风电已渐渐进入应用能源的主流。本文基于美国风电的发展现状和发展中遇到的问题,描述了风电特性,就预测分析工具、稳定性、输电制约等3个与风电并网相关的关键技术问题进行了探讨分析。同时针对影响美国风电发展的颇具争议的特殊挑战,如风电对鸟类生存、对军事雷达设施的影响进行了介绍。

With wind power becoming part of the mainstream of energy utilization, this paper briefly analyses the status quo and challenges of wind power in the United States. While describing the characteristics of wind power, it discusses the three key technological issues of forecasting tools, reliability and transmission constraints that are related to synchronization of wind power. It also elaborates on special challenges that wind power is facing, such as its impacts on migratory birds and military radar which have aroused considerable controversy.
