Classification of Shanghai Metropolitan Coordinating Area Hierarchy Based on Potential Model

传统的根据行政级别和人口规模进行的城市等级划分并不能反映都市圈内各城市实际的经济地位。基于引力理论和潜力模型,提出了新的城市等级划分方法,并通过对上海都市圈内53个城市的潜力值求解和欧氏聚类分析,得到都市圈内新的城市等级体系。

According to the administration and the population,the rank classifications of metropolitan coordinating areas do not reflect the facts.Based on the gravity model and potential model,in the paper a method of the classification of metropolitan coordinating area was brought forward.By weans of the potential value of fifty-three cities and their clustering with squared euclidean distance, the author found the new hierarchy classification of metropolitan coordinating area of Shanghai.
