Analysis of the Sadness of Poems by Du Xunhe

杜荀鹤,一个生逢乱世的社会底层文人,一生奔波求取功名。经历坎坷,身心遭受了巨大的痛苦。他的诗歌体现了晚唐的哀世之音。杜荀鹤诗之悲情主要表现在乱世亡国之悲、命运之悲、人格之悲。

Du Xunhe was a famous poet, living in bottom of the unstable period. He tried his best to pursue fame and success all his life, experiencing a lot of frustrations and suffering great anguish both physically and mentally. His poetry reflects the voice of mourning of Late Tang Dynasty. This paper attempts to elucidate the sadness implied in Du Xunhe＇s poems in terms of the sadness of the unstable period, the sadness of the fate, the sadness of the personality.
