The wear resistance of hi - chromium cast iron is perfect, but it＇ s toughness is too low, so the usage of hi - chromium cast iron is nomally limited to some small castings with simple configuration and small volume. However, by properly designing foundy method and strictly controlling production process, the impeller has complex configuration and heavy weight also can be successfully cast with hichromium cast iron.
