摘要
《新旧上海》是"明星"公司始终贯彻的新市民电影制作路线的结果,它在思想和艺术上不同以往的成就,在很大程度上要归功于左翼电影转型、分流和突破时期的滋养和补给。新市民电影最大的收获就是以它一贯平和的方式、从市场卖点的角度吸纳和借鉴左翼电影元素并且世俗地表达,所以它更热衷和擅长展示与张扬温情的一面,最后的结局通常是皆大欢喜。新市民电影借助左翼电影的诸多元素进入1936年后,终于在一定程度上解决了左翼电影有深度但相对没趣味、新市民电影又单纯注重趣味却常常缺失思想的症结。
New Old Shanghai was a product from the production line of new civilians film that Star Company consistently stuck to. It was different from the past achievements in thought and art. It was owed in large part to the nourishments and supply of Left-wing movies in the periods of transformation, diffluence, and breakthrough. The biggest gain of new civilian film was its adoption and borrowing of Left-wing film elements and worldly articulation of them in an always gentle manner from the perspective of marketing. Therefore, they were more concerned about and good at displaying the emotional aspect. The final result was often a happy ending. The new civilian film, after taking diverse elements of Left-wing film, finally solved the problem in 1936 of Left-wing film being profound yet boring and the new civilian film being concerned about interest but lacking in profound thought.
