The Main Causes of China's Modern Times Higher Education Imitate the Modes of Education from Japan to the United States

中国近代的高等教育,在清末主要仿日本模式,从20世纪20年代初开始转向仿美国模式。这一转变的主要原因。可以归结为杜威访华的影响、留芙归国学生的作用、"二十一条"的负面效应等几个方面。这一转变,对于中国高等教育的近代化,有重要意义。

China＇s modern time＇s higher education imitated the modes of Japanese education in the Late Qing Dynasty, but in the early of 1920＇s, it imitated the modes of United States＇. The main causes of this change are as follows; the effects of Dewey＇s visiting to China, the function of students who studied in the United States, the negative effects of “the 21 Articles” and so on. This change is very significant for the current reform of higher education in China.
