雷达虚假回波在一次强冰雹过程中的分析

Analysis of Virtual Radar Echoes in a Heavy Hailstone Weather

本文应用多普勒雷达回波资料和常规天气资料,对2006年7月13日发生在太原市阳曲县一次强冰雹天气过程进行了分析。通过强度场与速度场和 PPI 资料作 VCS 分析,可见"三体散射"回波、旁瓣回波在PPI 上体现的"尖端回波",VCS 图上高悬的强回波和旁瓣回波。将虚假回波作为识别冰雹云的指标,对临近预报、防雹预警服务有重要的指导意义。

Using the data of Doppler weather radar echoes and routine meteorological data, the Heavy hailstone weather process occurred on Jul 13 2006 is analyzed. The results show： In Heavy Hailstone Weather process, by VCS analyzing （using the data of intensity, velocity fields and PPI ）, we can find virtual radar echoes such as the three -body scattering, the side -lobe echo （which presents as tip echo on PPI）, strong high hanging echo etc. These characteristics of virtual radar echoes can be considered as indices of Hailstone forecast.
