《南诏历代国王礼佛图》图释

Interpreting the Nanzhao King's Buddha Worship Picture with Illustration

《张胜温画卷》的作者张胜温应该是一位汉族画家。《画卷》第103开为《南诏历代国王礼佛图》,画面为南诏全部13位国王礼佛的场景,每位国王和王后的头上都有标志着身份的直行正书文字加框题榜,题榜中题写着各位国王和王后的帝王号或名字。其中6位国王的形象,来自《南诏图传》。这是目前发现时代最早且最完整的关于南诏历代国王名号的资料,因年久剥泐,部分文字已很难辨认,笔者对此进行了辨证、补充。

Zhang Shengwen, the author of Zhang Shengwen＇s Picture Scroll, was of Bai Nationality. According to the analysis in this paper, Zhang Shengwen should be a Hart painter. There is a picture of Nanzhao King＇s Buddha Worship in the Scroll, which was the scene of the entire thirteen king＇s Buddha worship. There were characters marking each king＇s and each queen＇s identity on their heads. The characters marked the name of each kingdom or the king＇s names or the queen＇s names. The analysis in the paper revealed that six images of six kings were from Nazhao Picture Bibliography, which are both the earliest and complete materials about the kings＇ names of Nanzhao. However, parts of the writing are unrecognizable because of long years and the unrecognizable parts are recognized and amended by the author.
