On “What Is Theory” and “Contents of the Theory”——Revelations of Inductive Method and Analytic Deduction for the Study of Sports Science

对归纳综合、分析演绎方法进行了分析,探讨了上下求索的科研方法,向上探求得出科学的公理性前提,即提出科学的概念。向下探求指根据确定的概念推演出整个科学体系。两者的结合就是建立一门新学科的方法。并以建立体育学的理论框架作为示例加以说明。

The author tries to analyze the methods of induction and analytic deduction and seek for the origins of scientific research methods. It is proposed that the premise of scientific theories can be concluded if a kind of ＂upward＂ research is made and scientific ideas can thus be raised. On the other hand, a complete scientific system can be deducted if a kind of ＂downward＂ research is made according to confirmed theories and principles. The combination of both will be the method of the establishment of a new discipline. This study is further illustrated by the establishment of the theoretic framework of sports science in the essay.
