On the Value of Outward Bound for Undergraduate Students in the Process of Socialization

社会化是个体发展的重要过程,当代大学生在社会化过程中面临着自尊与他人认同矛盾、社会角色意识淡薄、理想与现实冲突等诸多问题。而拓展运动作为一种心理、潜能和管理技巧的综合训练,因其开放性、自主性、针对性、体验性和个体与团队教育目标一致性等特点,在人格塑造、角色培养、人际关系和圊队精神建立等方面,对促进当代大学生社会化具有独特的价值。

Socialization is an important process for individual development. Nowadays in the process of socialization, undergraduate students face lots of issues such as the contradiction between self--respect and conformity with others, their vague awareness over their own social roles,and the conflict between their ideals and the social reality,etc. As a comprehensive education of mentality, potential and administrative skills, outward bound practice is open,independent, target-oriented and practical, being consistent in the educational goals of the individual and the team. Besides,outward bound has a crucial value in promoting the socialization of undergraduate students in terms of shaping their personality,cultivating their role and establishing their interpersonal relations and team spirit.
