Protection of Cultural Relics in the Early Republic of China

民国初期,随着现代文物保护意识的逐渐形成,中国现代文物保护事业逐渐兴起。这一时期政府文物保护工作以颁发政策法规的形式迈出了中国现代文物保护事业的第一步,同时开始设立文物保护、管理机构,进行文物调查,限制文物出口,查办文物盗窃、盗运案件,为日后的文物保护工作奠定了基础。

The paper expounds the conscientious formation of cultural relic protection in early Republic of China and contemporary undertaking of relic protection in China. The greatest achievements of the Republic of China were the following ： issue laws and regulations of relic protection, set up governmental agencies to protect and manage historical relics, investigate relics, restrict relic export, deal with cases of stealing and smuggling cultural relics. What have been done laid a solid foundation for future relic protection.
