Beyond the Architecture——Misreading "Wuhan Qintai Grand Theater"

众人瞩目的武汉琴台大剧院已经建成投入使用。由于位居汉水和月湖之间的良好地理位置,如何处理建筑与环境的关系,以及使之成为体现武汉特色的窗口,成为讨论的重点。从"基地分析"、"建筑表情"和"建筑性格"三个方面,深入浅出地剖析了琴台大剧院的优缺点。同时,通过问卷调查,总结了市民的评价。最后提出,设计有地域特色的建筑需要注重传统记忆和现代文化的结合以及自下而上的市民参与。

The famous Wuhan Qintai Grand Theater has come into use for months. Due to the good location, how to get well with the environment and how to show the Wuhan characteristic has become the focus of discussion in the article. The paper analyzes the Qintai Grand Theater from aspects, such as ＂site analysis ＂architectural expression＂ and ＂architectural character＂. As a result, the paper concludes its advantages and disadvantages. At the same time, this paper summarizes the residents＇ evaluation through the analysis on surveys. Finally, the paper argues that a good design full of local characteristics should emphasize not only the combination of traditional memory and modern culture, but the public participation.
