As an important social and cultural trend of thought, the rise of Postmodernism has unique social and cultural background in western society. Its basic characteristics are： opposing the centricity and advocating the pluralistic value; animadverting on the rationalism and upholding the non - rational thinking; arguing against the oneness, the integrity and advocating the otherness ; opposing the seclusion and emphasizing the dialogue. The trend of thought has produced lots of impact on education： surveying the education aim; oppugning the curriculum theories; thinking of teacher - student relationships ; reconsidering the teaching modes ; upsetting the educational management; deconstructing the educational research methods. To the impact on education, we ought to do scientific analysis and evaluation by the Marxism viewpoints.
