Based on the construction practice of the viaduct Y-shaped pier column of No. 4 contract section of Liuxia to Wangiiabu in Hang-Hui express highway, this paper introduces the reinforced skeleton frame processing of the pier column and the construction technique of installing, discussises the process, technical points, detection and evaluation of the electroslag pressure welding, which can provide the reference for the similar projects.
