英汉亲属词浅探

A Brief Analysis on English and Chinese Kinship Terms

各种语言都有其亲属词体系,却同中有异。文章介绍了亲属词的分类,从有无长幼的次序、有无性别的差异、有无姻亲和血亲的区分以及有无父系和母系亲属的区分四个方面列表对比了英汉两种语言中亲属词的不同,继而分析了产生这些差别的历史文化因素。

All languages have their own systems of kinship terms, which, although with some similarities, are different from one another. This paper introduces the classification of kinship terms and through a chart contrasts the English kinship terms to the Chinese ones in the four aspects： with or without elder-younger relations with or without sex difference; with or without division of blood relations and relations by marriage; with or without details and omissions of paternal and maternal kinship terms. Then the paper exposes the historical and cultural differences between China and westen countries.
