Peak bone density of healthy female of Maonan nationality in Guangxi province in China

目的：建立毛南族女性定量超声骨量峰值,为骨质疏松症的诊断和防治效果的评估提供依据。方法：用定量超声骨密度仪对533名毛南族健康女性进行骨定量超声测定和分析。测量身高、体质量、足长和左侧跟骨超声振幅衰减（BUA）。结果：毛南族女性年龄在40-45岁时BUA峰值（64.34±7.87）db/MHz。25-40岁各组平均体质量随年龄增大而增高,40-45岁达最高值,随后逐渐下降。结论：用定量超声骨密度仪测定跟骨,获得毛南族女性定量超声BUA峰值,对毛南族女性骨质疏松症的诊断和治疗具有重要意义。

Objective： To establish the peak bone density of Maonan female, and provide data for the evaluation of diagnosis and prevention of osteoporosis. Methods： In 533 healthy Maonan female, the bone density was evaluated, with quantitative ultrasound （QUS） instrument, and the height, body mass, the length of foot as well as the broadband ultrasound attenuation （BUA） of the left calcaneus were measured. Results： The peak values of BUA of female in Maonan nationality appeared in 40 years. The peak bone density of female in Maonan nationality was （64.34±7.87） db/MHz. The body mass of Maonan female increased with age until they were older than 40 years. Conclusion： Acquirement of peak bone density of female in Maonan nationality with QUS instrument was significant for the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis.
