摘要
在虚拟场景中加入雨雪的效果可以大大增加虚拟现实的真实性。粒子系统是模拟雨雪效果的有效方法,但是数量众多的粒子却增加了场景中的顶点数目,给仿真增添了许多困难。通过对粒子系统与LOD技术的深入研究,提出了一种新的应用于大规模场景的雨雪模拟实时算法。该算法的基本思想是结合粒子系统,根据人体视觉深度原理,采用LOD技术,根据粒子与观测点的距离对雨雪的密度进行分级,并对粒子发射器进行优化,提高粒子的利用效率,达到高效仿真的效果。
The simulation of rain and snow can greatly improve the reality of virtual scene. Particle system is an useful way to simulate rain and snow, but the large numbers of particles increase the vertices in the scene and bring many difficulties to the simulation. This paper, based on the analysis of particle system and LOD, presents a new algorithm to simulate the rain and snow in large scale scene. The main idea of this algorithm is based on the theory of the depth of human vision, using LOD technology and particle system, dividing the particle consistency into several levels according to the distance from the particle to the camera. And the particle emitter is also optimized. Through this algorithm, scene can be rendered in high quality with limited particles.
