The Soft Switching Technology and Its Application

网络通信业务量的爆炸式增长已成为世界瞩目的焦点和推动全球信息业发展的动力,作为下一代网络(NGN)的核心技术--软交换(SoftSwitch)技术的出现一方面造就了网络的融合,另一方面软交换采用了开放式应用程序接口(API),方便了第三方应用的开发和新业务的引进。论文主要从软交换提出的必然性、软交换的概念和主要功能、基于软交换的增强型业务框架以及其各层间的协议等方面对软交换技术进行了论述。

The explosive growth of Network Communications business has become the focus of attention of the world and the driving force of development to promote global information industry, Soft Switch technology is the core technology of the next generation network （NGN）. On the one hand, network integration is being created; on the other hand, third-party application is developed and new businesses are processed with the use of open Application Program Interface （API）. This paper mainly presents the Soft Switch technology from its necessity, concept, principal function, enhanced operation framework, protocol, and so on.
