隐喻是人类认知的工具,它深深根植于人类的语言、思维和文化中。从文化差异的角度,分析和比较英汉"爱情"隐喻的认知共性与认知异性,可知隐喻概念体系作为文化的组成部分,它与社会及文化中最基本的价值观念相一致。

Metaphor is the cognitive instrument of human beings that is rooted in language, thought and culture. This thesis presents a contrastive study of the cognitive homogeneity and heterogeneity of ＂love metaphor＂ in English and Chinese from the perspective of culture difference and points out that as a component of culture, metaphor conforms to the essential values of society and culture.
