According to the characteristics of geological engineering and problems in teaching over the past few years, the authors introduce the teaching methods of database in aspects of teaching material selection, interest cultivation, in - class lectures, experiment arrangement, and combination of teaching and research. The methods obtained better effect in the teaching practice so as to improve students＇ abilities to analyze and solve problems as well as research independently and absorb new technologies.
