An Analysis of the Prototypical Sense of the Caused-Motion Construction

本文从分析认知语法中的使动语法构式的原型意义入手,质疑其可行性,证明其谬误性,认为及物动词、不及物动词与语义无关。从语言的内在机制着眼,纵深挖掘不及物动词向及物动词的转化等一系列问题,有助于我们理解语法的实质。分析显示,词类由语言的结构依赖原则决定;使动语法构式的原型意义观对及物、不及物动词这一问题不具有充分的解释力。

This paper attempts to reveal that the prototypical view of the Cansed-Motian Construction in construction grammar needs to be rethought and falsified, as transitive and intransitive verbs have their own syntactic attributes, irrelevant to semantics. This study may help to obtain a better understanding of the nature of grammar. Analysis shows that word classes are determined by the structure-dependency principle and that the prototypical view of the Caused-Motion Construction is untenable in its explanation of the transitivity problem.
