摘要
转喻和隐喻是人类基本的认知方式。它们分别以邻近性和相似性为基础。语篇最为基本的要素是连贯,连贯更多地表现在读者有意识的认知建构中。本文较为详细地分析人类语篇构建中的认知因素,认为转喻与隐喻是语篇生成和理解的重要认知机制,在语篇连贯的构建方面起着重要作用。
Metonymy and metaphor are fundamental cognitive modes; they are based respectively on contiguity and similarity. Coherence, which finds its expression more in readers＇ consciously cognitive construction, constitutes a basic element for text. After analyzing the cognitive factors in text construction, this paper claims that metonymy and metaphor are two important cognitive mechanisms, which play essential roles in textual coherence.
