The paper introduces the requirements of the IEC standard for the resistance to flame and tracking as well as the requirements for the testing equipment based on the luminaire standard GB 7000.1 -2007 and provides the testing guide of resistance to flame and tracking for carrying out GB 7000.1 - 2007 standard with the emphasis on the differences between the active national standard of China and the latest IEC standard on the needle-flame test and tracking test.
