虎变文学是中国古代文学的一个重要组成部分,其文学类型主要有人变虎、虎变人两类;其产生根源是中国古代的动物崇拜、图腾观念与灵魂信仰;佛教的传入则进一步丰富了虎变文学的创作。虎变文学的产生、发展、壮大从一个侧面展现了文学与宗教、伦理、民众心理等方面的内在联系。

Tiger-humml transformation literature is one of the key components of ancient Chinese literature, divided into two categories： tiger-to-human transformation and human-to-tiger transformation. The origin of this tradition dates back to the worship of animals, totem and belief in soul in ancient China and the entry of Buddhism has further enriched the creation of tiger-human transformation literature. The formation, development and prosperity of this literature trend reflects the internal connection between literature and religion, ethics, and psychology of the mass.
